Meet recipients of The 7 Evolving Female Leaders’ Award 2025
1. Aramide Kayode: Educator
Aramide Kayode is a dynamic Nigerian Educator dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for children in low-income communities. As the Executive Director of Talent Mine Academy, she has provided 12 years of fully funded, high-quality education to marginalized children, aiming to cultivate young leaders capable of addressing pressing community issues.
A first-class Economics graduate from Covenant University, Aramide furthered her studies with a Master\’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her commitment to education led her to join the Teach for Nigeria fellowship in 2018, where she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of quality education on underserved communities.
Under her leadership, Talent Mine Academy has empowered 307 children, who have collectively impacted over 5,000 individuals by tackling critical issues in their communities. Aramide’s innovative approach emphasizes problem-based learning, enabling students to apply classroom concepts to real-world challenges.
2. Toyosi Olatayo: Social Entrepreneur
Toyosi Olatayo is a visionary Nigerian social entrepreneur, food security advocate, and the
founder and CEO of Palmira FarmTrade Limited. Hailing from Eruwa, a rural community in Oyo State, Nigeria, she is deeply committed to promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing rural development.
Established in 2022, Palmira FarmTrade aims to create an efficient and transparent supply chain by connecting farmers directly with manufacturers. This initiative ensures that farmers receive fair prices for their produce, thereby contributing to poverty alleviation and hunger eradication in Africa.
In her advocacy for food security, Toyosi has addressed environmental challenges associated with cassava farming and processing. She has explored the potential of converting cassava peel waste into animal feed, transforming agricultural by-products into valuable resources for small-scale farmers.
3. Damilola Busari: Lawyer and Communications Coach
Damilola Busari is a multifaceted Nigerian professional whose work spans law, communications coaching, event hosting, and mentorship. With a foundation in law, holding an LL.B. (Hons) and a B.Sc. in International Relations from Lead City University, Ibadan, she seamlessly integrates her legal expertise with her passion for effective communication.
As a communications coach, Damilola is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and professionals to speak with confidence and eloquence. She offers one-on-one coaching, group sessions, and workshops designed to enhance public speaking skills. Her approach is rooted in the belief that clear and confident communication is essential for personal and career success.
Her passion for youth development led her to establish the Pearl Initiative, a faith-based non-governmental organization focused on mentoring teenagers. The initiative aims to groom God-fearing and well-rounded young individuals, providing them with guidance and support during their formative years.
4. Oluwakemi Odusanya: Gender and Disability Rights Advocate
Oluwakemi Odusanya is a passionate disability-rights advocate, freelance journalist, and the founder of Eagle’s Voice International for Disability Rights. Her personal journey with visual impairment has fueled her dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities, particularly visually impaired women in Nigeria.
At the age of 13, Oluwakemi experienced a life-altering event that led to her blindness. Despite numerous attempts to restore her sight, she faced depression, social exclusion, and educational disruptions. However, her resilience led her to a specialized school for the blind, where she found rehabilitation and a renewed sense of purpose.
Oluwakemi holds a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs and has over four years of experience as a gender and disability inclusion facilitator. Through Eagle’s Voice, she strives to empower blind women in Nigeria, advocating for their independence and societal inclusion.
5. Oluwaseyi Jesuton: Environmentalist
Oluwaseyi Jesuton, formerly known as Oluwaseyi Moejoh, is a distinguished international development professional and environmentalist with over seven years of experience in project management, youth development, climate action, grant writing, and storytelling.
She is a co-founder of U-recycle Initiative Africa, a nonprofit organization committed to addressing plastic pollution and promoting environmental sustainability across the continent. Under her leadership, the organization has spearheaded over 65 youth-led projects, including the deployment of interactive recycling bins in Nigerian universities and the development of a gamified learning platform to educate youth on plastic pollution.
Beyond her environmental advocacy, Jesuton is a prolific international speaker, having addressed esteemed platforms such as the United Nations, Financial Times, and One Young World. Her insights have been instrumental in shaping discussions on environmental policies and youth engagement globally.
6. Oluwadabira Omosebi: Public Health and Children Advocate
Omosebi Oluwadabira is a passionate writer, content creator, and advocate for public health and children’s spiritual growth. Her work demonstrates a commitment to making a difference through compelling storytelling and impactful initiatives that nurture young minds.
Her dedication to public health led her to organize an Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Campaign, educating communities about antibiotic misuse and responsible healthcare practices. This initiative reflects her commitment to raising awareness about critical health issues affecting everyday lives.
Oluwadabira’s passion extends to children’s spiritual development. Recognizing growth potential in Sokoto State a region where Christianity is not widely practiced; she led a Bible Drive for Children, securing over 50 Bibles and more than 100 customized Bible study notebooks to foster personal bible study habits. This initiative created a fellowship platform for children, providing a safe space to learn and strengthen their faith despite environmental challenges.
7. Moyinoluwa Okunloye Morenikeji: Motherhood Advocate
Moyinoluwa Okunloye Morenikeji is the managing partner at Umi an organization that supports mums from Africa with information, connection, and community needed to take care of themselves and their little ones, as well as advance at home, work and in life.
Mum’s in 18 African countries have benefited from Umi’s work, including the mentorship program and Umi100. Prior to her work with Umi, she was a researcher at African Priorities and Lagos Business School. She is an advisor for Magnify Mentoring, which connects ambitious and altruistic women, specifically those from underrepresented backgrounds, with industry leaders in all continents.
